 ASPRS Imagry Standards

Introduction

The American Society of Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing (ASPRS) Primary Data Acquisition Division (PDAD) is developing a Digital Imagery Product Guideline in conjunction with NASA, U.S. Geological Survey (USGS), the National Imagery and Mapping Agency (NIMA), academia, and industry. The goal of the guideline is to improve communication between image imformation users and suppliers, promote standards, facilitate image users infromation acquition, and enhance understanding in the quality assurance and quality control processes.
The Digital Imagery Request Form is a short form to facilitate ordering imagery. It is accompanied by an image gallery containing features at different ground sample distances (color and pan). A companion document to the Guideline and Form, the Digital Imagery Reference/Tutorial, discusses many of the definitions and concepts mentioned in the short-form document.
